Women’s Sexuality and Social Networking

I do think no matter business, politics, or even in education the standards for men and women are different when it comes to sexuality. Even after some of the election coverage, the media outlets seemed to be highly critical of some of the women candidates. It was getting to the point enough already. Even in today’s society shows like the Jersey Shore encourage men to be promiscuous, but as soon as a woman does the same thing she is then stereotyped and looked down upon.

Ball’s comparison between herself and Hilary Clinton I could see where she made the connection the two women had husbands that because of his actions cause an unwanted media attention. A lot of that is because of the age we live it.

Your privacy is defiantly hard to protect any one can do a Google search. If it has been posted that picture is going to be out there. Once you become a public figure people will spend tons of money and effort to catch you in some kind of revealing act.

With social networking people need to remember. Do I want my priest, grandmother, or whoever to see this? Also, you might not be able to control other people’s actions make sure you are not putting yourself in compromising situations. Say no to the sex tape.
The perils of the digital age have already showed their ugly side. Just look at what has happen to Ms. Ball. The only way to combat this is to be proactive. Make sure you are not posting information on websites might be compromising. Also, make sure that if your becoming friends with people make sure you know who they are. Just because you have 1000 people on you friends list does not make you popular! If necessary have a prenuptial with your significant other about racy pictures if you have to.
