Talking Shock: Issue #7 (due 11/9 before the start of class)

Times are changing ,however, public outlook on women's sexuality doesn't seem to be. I personally think there are double standards regarding this photo. Crystal Ball is correct, if it was a man it wouldn't be addressed as the same issue presented here. What makes me sick is Crystal dressing up sexy is not something every woman hasn't done before to appease their partner, so to the women out there making a big deal of this ,"Get over it". To the men out there making a big deal of this, "Get over it". Every man has sexual fantasies so stop being hypocritical.

Because society is the way it is Crystal could be facing a 50/50 on her political campaign. Some may, 'turn the other cheek' as I have. Others may say she is a figure in the public eye (like she's not human or anything) and should maintain better morals and values. Ball's comparison to Hillary Clinton is justified. Hillary experienced much embarrassment due to the public affair of her husband, and yet she was a strong independent woman who stood up for herself and her marriage much as Crystal is standing to her racy photos.

Bottom line if you don't want pictures or moments in your life to be seen keep it personal. You have to be protective and take extra precautions from things you don't want seen. If you don't want people to take pictures of it don't do it in public. If you don't want your pictures to leak out don't post in a public blog, keep them on a back up drive in a safe, vault, lock box. Personally, people should just mind their own business, but that's what keeps the worlds heart ticking right... other peoples personal business. It is what it is.

Be-careful what you post on face book, you may think it is private however it is not. If you choose to display things on these types of sites you must pay the consequences of society no matter what you personally think. This is why I don't have one I will loose my job if anything is posted I don't want seen or business I don't want others knowing about. Better safe then sorry. This world of technology and social networking is rapidly changing, but until society changes its views as a whole it doesn't really matter. Majority rules in this social networking age.
