Issue #10

Change for McDonald’s could be both good and bad. Good because the economy is changing and this change can be used as a way to stay with the demand of the customer’s and with the current times. Bad too because McDonald’s does have a niche, 50 years of history in the fast food industry, and with a signature décor of a red roof and golden arches.
I do like the fact that McDonald’s is changing parts of their menu. Adding healthy alternatives is a good step forward. This allows the opportunity for healthier food choices especially when 63% of our population is overweight.(*) When a cost of a hamburger from McDonald’s is less than a gallon of milk. We really do need to push for healthier items! Everything is moderation!! I do have to admit that those French fries do taste pretty good every once in awhile.
However, companies like Gap that tried to change its logo and received negative feed back after its change. So any changes that a company does make needs to handle tactfully; asking customer’s opinion, and even in McDonald’s case asking franchise members.
