Helping Customers Think Positively

I have to disagree with the author after she became thrilled with an email that did not tell her any details of the product that they wanted her to buy, but loaded the message full of nice words and enthusiastic banter. In my opinon this is part of the reason that the world is in the mess that it is in. Nobody wants to hear the truth, everyone wants everything spoonfed and sugar coated, as to not see the full story. It is understandable that she was impressed that the company that was sending the message seemed friendly, but as she noted, the message lacked any real substance. People anymore seem to be afraid of the truth, and live their lives wanting everything to be superficially nice, and this company's tactic follows suit. This email gave the company a great forum for discussing their new products, but fell very short with a bunch of phrases intended to butter up their customers.
