Issue #3

I don't agree with Ms. Bumiller's idea that Power Point is the enemy. She is a bit misguided in her assertions claiming that it is. Sure, we have all sat through horribly boring Power Point presentations, but that doesn't mean that all Power Point presentations are bad. Many industries misuse Power Point, not just the military. For instance, think of all the classes we sit through where all the teacher does is read the slides. Boring! Right? Using the "you" or audience centered approach would improve any presentation regardless of whether or not it involved Power Point. Power Point should be used to enhance a presentation, not take the place of it. I feel a good presentation should stand on its own, without having to use Power Point as a crutch.
