In conclusion I suggest a meeting template handout. This keeps the audience centered, using direct black and white overviews of the main points being spoken of.

Talking Shock: Issue #3 (due 9/14)
I agree with Bumiller's assertions, however; I guess I did not realize PowerPoint presentations were of such an issue regarding the armed services. I believe it to be absolutely ridiculous this has become such a big deal. This issue should have been addressed a long time ago, especially if briefings have become agonizing to sit through, and working late is built upon putting together a PowerPoint presentation. There is a time and a place for a PowerPoint presentation such as a corporate meeting, or giving a presentation. PowerPoint presentations not only give a visual aid, but keep the meeting/presentation running smoothly, orderly, and gives some entertainments value. I have never encountered an issue with Power Points being overly used per say. I believe using more of an audience centered approach may help. Briefings need to be concise, clear, and to the point. A PowerPoint could suggest one mindedness, not team decisioning during a debriefing.
