Issue # 3

I'm very familiar with the military's use of power point presentations. I served in the Army for 13 years. The military has become digitized, and enhanced their capabilities through technology. In most areas, the technology has helped. Power point is not one of those enhancements; analysis paralysis is a running joke stated my military members. Too many briefings, not enough focus on personal communications. The presentations are not detrimental, but I agree that they are used too much. Recently an Army Colonel was fired for his criticism of power point presentations. If a man who spent over 20 years building his career is fired over criticizing power point, then you get the picture, analysis paralysis. War briefings should be depicted through terrain models, and small unit leader communication, not power point presentations.
