The article discusses reasons why Power Points are a terrible idea and should not be used. For one example, in the military. Several comments were made about how difficult it is to understand the information being portrayed by the Power Point. Others commented on how some information is just too specific to bet put on slides and in bullets.

Power Points are a time consuming way to display information. While it is more enjoyable than just simply reading a paper of information, it takes entirely too much time to prepare and present. Power Points can add flair to a presentation, but for military purposes it seems inappropriate. The military is a very technical and precise organization. How they receive their information cannot be done with the proper amount of depth by using a Power Point.

Power Points have helped me display information for numerous projects, both in high school and college. It is a great way to get a series of information to your audience, in a more exciting and compact fashion. I believe that Power Points are very useful, but it solely depends on the information being presented. For some topics and for professionalism, it is not a very appropriate way to display information. Power Points can complicate things and cause confusion.

I agree that Power Points may not be the best way for displaying information for the military. But overall, they are not a bad resource. You just need to know who your target audience is, and whether the information is appropriate for a Power Point or something more complex.
